Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop is an expansion of the already extensive Dream Drop series of slot games by Relax Gaming and a continuation of the popular ‘Tumble’ series. Dream Drop is Relax Gaming’s progressive jackpot network, and the top reward is slated to be €10 million. The ancient military order makes a comeback in this sequel to 2021’s Templar Tumble, which included features including tumbles, Win Multipliers, Mystery Reveals, free spins, and five jackpot rewards.
The original Templar Tumble game featured a bright, airy aesthetic, as though it were set in a Templar temple. The reverse is Templar Tumble 2: Dream Drop. In contrast to the lighthearted tone of the preceding slot, this one is set in a gloomy, dreary, depressing environment. This one feels like it takes place in a Templar stronghold, from which military activities are directed. It’s appropriate, as the game’s difficulty may be high, and a siege mindset may be required to keep pushing ahead when the odds are stacked against you.
Active symbols and blocker tiles fall into place on a 6-reel, 7-column game grid in Templar Tumble 2: Dream Drop with every new spin. Blocker tiles close to winning symbols are removed. Wins are made when matching symbols appear on successive reels, starting from the left. Tiles that are blocking the way are never replaced by new ones when wins are tallied and symbols fall into the resulting voids. When a new winning combination cannot be made, the whole win from the cascade is paid out. A very speculative mathematical model underlies everything here, yielding a theoretical return value of 94% and allocating 12% of wagers to jackpots. The wagers can be anything from 20 pence to £/€100, and the higher they are, the more likely a jackpot spin will occur.
Two diamond-shaped tiles make up the symbols; the low values are represented by clubs, spades, and hearts, while the high values are represented by trees, birds, lions, and war helms. When made from low pays, a six-of-a-kind win is worth 0.4x the wager, whereas a victory formed from high pays is worth 1-2x the stake. Wild symbols are not available in Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop.

Even while the game’s jackpots are the main draw, Templar Tumble 2: Dream Drop also has win multipliers, mystery reveals, and free games.
Symbols with a Mark
Red and blue borders appear on some symbols and blocker tiles at random during gameplay. One point is added to the red or blue collection meter for each of these symbols that is destroyed while tagged. The initial stage of the corresponding feature is triggered when 5 designated symbols of the same color are destroyed. After that point, a new feature level is unlocked every time 5 of the same colored symbols are marked. Once all obstructive tiles have been eliminated, a total of 3 points is needed to go to the next level. The tally counters are reset at the start of the following round of the base game.
Success Multiplier
Symbols in blue are linked to the Win Multiplier. At the conclusion of a successful tumble, the Win Multiplier is multiplied by the total win to determine the player’s final score.
Solving the Mystery
The Mystery Reveal is represented by the red-circled icons. When this meter reaches its maximum, two additional hidden symbols will appear on the reels. Hidden images can show either a standard payout icon or a coin. A reward of 1-100 times the wager is hidden underneath each coin. There is a cap at level 21 for the Mystery Reveal. Once triggered, it cannot be re-awarded on the same spin until the level is increased.
Bonus Turns
If you manage to collect three scatters while playing, you’ll be rewarded with 10 extra spins. Free spins will continue the player’s progress on the two collecting meters from the regular game. At the conclusion of each free spin while the feature is active, you will get either the Win Multiplier or the Mystery Reveal. You can’t restart the collection meters until the round is over. A further free game is added for every scatter that appears during the bonus round.
Psychic Tear
Pressing the spin button, either manually or automatically, can randomly activate Jackpot Spins. When this feature is activated, players receive 1 free spin on a 6×7 game grid where all of the blocks or symbols are DD. If the DD symbol appears on reels 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, the Dream Drop Bonus round will begin. Each of the five jackpots in the Dream Drop Bonus is connected with one of the game’s five reels. Both DD symbols and blocks appear on the reels, with the latter being removed by the former. When all positions on a reel are occupied with DD symbols, the matching jackpot is awarded. Two DD tiles will win the Rapid or Midi, three will win the Maxi, four will win the Major, and five will win the Mega. The minimum payouts for the Rapid, Midi, Maxi, Major, and Mega games are €1, €5, €100, €25,000, and €500,000.
Slot Review: Templar Tumble 2: Dream Drop
Slot machines with progressive jackpots on the scale of Dream Drop typically have lower RTPs than their standard, non-jackpot counterparts. When playing one of these games, you may or may not be able to tell the difference. One such occasion was my review of Templar Tumble 2: Dream Drop. It’s only fair to point out that in the first 500 or so plays, the Rapid Jackpot was won twice, and the free spins feature was activated once for a win of about 1.7 times the stake. However, after a little interval, I was able to get three free spins in the base game, which resulted in a respectable payout overall. You either win or you are stretched out on the rack for a while.
Luck is a factor, and if you’re feeling lucky, you might be in for some thrilling moments in Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop that have little to do with the jackpots. Although Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop did not hypnotize to the extent that Cluster Tumble did, rather extended sequences of successive tumbles occasionally happened, which is to be expected from Relax Gaming’s Tumble slots. But it was still tough to rack up a lot of Mystery Reveals or amass a large Win Multiplier. To be clear, I’m not suggesting that Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop is impossible; the non-jackpot winning potential is 20,000x the stake.
In 1119, the Order of the Knights Templar was founded in part to ensure the safety of pilgrims making their way to the Holy Land. After starting off poor, the Templars amassed a substantial fortune in the form of cash, enterprises, and real estate, eventually becoming what is likely the first international company (according to Wikipedia). Templar Tumble 2: Dream Drop features both jackpot and non-jackpot payouts, even if the Templars don’t always feel like they’re helping. Overall, Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop is crafted to the usual excellent level by Relax Gaming, and it offers jackpot fans the chance to test their luck in a medieval scenario; adopting a siege mindset is not required.
